The Shooting Section exists to provide all members, regardless of experience, the opportunity to shoot with other club members in a variety of disciplines – game shooting, clay pigeons, target rifle and stalking amongst others, and to gather for social events and talks. There are no subs to be paid for joining the section, and all events/shoots are run on a cost basis so that we can provide the best value-for-money to our members.
Throughout the off-season, members will have the chance to shoot together at a London-based clay ground. These days will be informal get-togethers for members wanting to hone their abilities with a friendly group of guns.
In the season, we will be offering game-shooting to our members, hosted by the excellent Stratfield Saye Estate, home of the Duke of Wellington, with whom the Club has extensive historic links. These days represent excellent value-for-money shooting within 1.5 hours of London, and a chance to join a friendly team of guns for the day, before regaling other members with tales from the shoot over evening drinks.
The club is keen to promote target shooting to members, who will have the opportunity to join other members for days at the range both within London, on a 25m small-bore range, and at Bisley, where members can try historic rifles at ranges out to 1200 yards!
