Kinder Scout Circuit from Edale walk
This is a 16.7-mile circuit of the Kinder Scout moorland plateau in the Dark Peak area of the Peak District. With overnight stay (camping, bunkhouse, YH, in Edale).
Saturday 22nd June
Edale Train Station at 0900 hrs.
Edale Station is on the Hope Valley Line from Manchester to Sheffield, with a journey time from 33 mins from Sheffield. Sheffield Station is the terminus of the Midland Main Line from London St. Pancras, with up to two trains per hour.
Edale, Gridnslow Knoll, Crowden Tower, Noe Stool, Kinder Down Fall, Sandy Heys, The Edge, Seal Stones, Blackden Edge, Crookstone Knoll, Ringing Roger, Edale.
Circa 16.7miles. Approx. 8/9 hours to end including lunch break.
Please bring all personal hiking equipment including hiking boots. Please ensure you have hat, gloves, spare layers. Please bring a packed lunch. Please bring tent sleeping bag and camping/cooking equipment for overnight.
We are likely to camp on the Saturday night at Upper Booth Camp (www.upperboothcamping.co.uk).
We recommend liaising with trip organiser regarding camping/accommodation. There may be the opportunity to book a camping barn/youth hostel close by to Edale, depending on numbers of members attending.
Sunday 23rd June
A short walk will be organised (Mam Tor for example) or alternatively members can explore Edale or nearby Castleton at their leisure or head home.

Car drivers park at Edale Station Car park. Minimum charge £2.50. Post Code S33 72N. There is no minimum number of participants required for this event to go ahead.
